Why is this quote right on… Because it reminds us that there is another side of shame.
THE PROBLEM: I’m going to surprise some of you here…I don’t think guilt or shame is that horrible…FOR A SPLIT SECOND. Think about it. If you did something horrible (that you might feel guilty about) but your right/wrong barometer isn’t even aware of it. That would be bad and there would lie the true problem is…
The problem lies in us not know what to do when we feel guilt or shame.
THE WORD: We’re going to break down a few important tips that will help us to shake off shame.
- KNOW: LOVE IS THE POWER THAT WIPES OUT… TRUMPS SIN-GUILT-SHAME
Psalm 103:8-12 The Lord is merciful and gracious, slow to anger and abounding in steadfast love. He will not always chide, nor will he keep his anger forever. He does not deal with us according to our sins, nor repay us according to our iniquities. For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his steadfast love toward those who fear him; as far as the east is from the west, so far does he remove our transgressions from us.
- BELIEF: BY THE HOLY SPIRIT AND A PROMISE
Hebrews 10:15-18 And the Holy Spirit also bears witness to us; for after saying, “This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my laws on their hearts, and write them on their minds,” then he adds, “I will remember their sins and their lawless deeds no more.” Where there is forgiveness of these, there is no longer any offering for sin.
- REPENT: IT’S AN ACT OF MERCY –GIVEN TO US BY JESUS IF WE REPENT.
Acts 2:38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
THE GIFT: FREE OF GUILT AND SHAME…BUT WHAT DOES THAT REALLY LOOK LIKE?
- Riddled thoughts vrs peace and gratefulness
- Heavy, weight vrs light and energized
- Trapped vrs free to advance
- Held back vrs growing

THE CHOICE: Live in guilt in shame (riddled, heavy, trapped and held back) or KNOW by love we have mercy, through belief, we dare to repent and joyfully live in the spirit, not the world.
FREE WILL: walk in the will of God, or be held back.
CALL IN’S
Kaleb: I don’t know the God that most of you do. I listen to this show and try to know a loving forgiving God but I just keep hearing the pounding on the pulpit, the looks of those in our circles and the disapproval of my family. It’s almost like I must feel shamed in order to be worthy.

Bethany: I was so inappropriate with my relations growing up and found my faith just a couple years ago. Now I am trying to find a Godly man and I just feel unworthy and ashamed at how I have behaved. How would any other man want to be with me?
-KNOW: You are made new in Christ. Ephesians 4:22-24 22 to put off your old self,[a] which belongs to your former manner of life and is corrupt through deceitful desires, 23 and to be renewed in the spirit of your minds, 24 and to put on the new self, created after the likeness of God in true righteousness and holiness.
-BELIEVE
-REPENT
REMEMBER…Jesus looked at them & said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Math 19:26
